Make your dream trip come true with Asili Explorer.
At Asili Explorer Tanzania Safari, you can customize your trip. Our sample itineraries are adjustable to your preferences.
Morning after breakfast:
From your hotel, our safari guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha City. Then, you will cover about a 120 km, almost 2 hours’ drive distance en route to Tarangire National Park.
Tarangire National Park:
Tarangire National Park is well known for its large group of elephant herds roaming freely near the Tarangire River banks, which truly represent a Tanzania Family Safari, along with many other creatures. We will experience the seasonal swamps (wetlands), savannah, and Tarangire River, which play a great role in the ecosystem of Tarangire National Park and attract animals during the dry season.
Wildlife Spotting:
We will spot as many animals as possible, including lions, zebras, mongoose, aardvark, wildebeest, buffalos, elephants, and giraffes (just to list a few). We may also get a quick look at lions and leopards.
Picnic and Game Drive:
Our professional and experienced safari guide will choose a suitable picnic spot to have a delicious lunch at the designated picnic site. Afterward, you will resume the game drive until late evening.
Evening Transfer:
In the evening, you will be transferred to one of our carefully selected hotel partners for dinner and your overnight stay.
Accommodation
Morning after breakfast, you will start your safari toward the endless plains of the Serengeti National Park, where you will have a glimpse of Ngorongoro Crater at the Ngorongoro View Point before traveling towards Serengeti National Park (which you will reach in the afternoon). Our professional, experienced safari guide will pick a good time to have a delicious lunch and some sparkling wine amidst the stunning scenery.
Serengeti National Park is famous for its diverse stock of resident wildlife, including the “Big Five,” which are well known because they are the five most iconic animal trophies sought after by hunters. The Serengeti is estimated to accommodate the largest population of lions in Africa (roughly 2,950) due to the diversity of prey that lives here.
The elusive leopard is commonly spotted in the Seronera region but is found throughout the park. Its population is approximated to be about 1,000.
Optional Safari Activity:
Serengeti Balloon Safari (USD 600 per person)
After the game drive, you will head to your accommodations for dinner and your overnight stay.
Accommodation
Morning after breakfast, you will depart from the camp with a packed picnic lunch to the Ngorongoro Crater. This area is located west of the Arusha Region within the Crater Highlands geological area of Tanzania.
Upon arrival at the edge of the crater, you will have an early glimpse of what awaits you the next day on open grassland, along with a large number of animals you’ve seen on National Geographic documentaries. In the crater, there are many possibilities of spotting all the “Big Five” (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino), depending on your luck.
During the afternoon, you will be served lunch at a specially designated picnic site and then go on an afternoon game drive until late evening. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.
Optional Safari Activity:
Per person visit to the Olduvai Gorge and museum (USD 40 per person)
Ngorongoro Crater Rim Walking Safari (USD 30 per person)
Maasai Village Visit (USD 50 per vehicle)
Accommodation
Birdwatchers and bird enthusiasts will also find Lake Manyara to be a perfect destination, with a huge variety of bird species on display in the park. Even birders can expect to be amazed by a large group of flamingos (flamboyance), circling birds of prey, and the beautifully colored lilac-breasted roller.
Lunch will be served in the park at the picnic site, and in the afternoon, you will be heading back to Arusha.
Accommodation
The morning after breakfast, from your hotel, we will visit the waterfalls, which are about a 45-minute walk away. Along the way, your guide will give you a glimpse into the local culture, provide insight into village life, and explain the surrounding flora and fauna. The views here are truly remarkable and breathtaking. You will spot the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world. The pool at the bottom of the waterfall is a welcoming place for a refreshing swim, so don’t forget to wear a swimming costume.
After enjoying the beautiful view and tranquility, you will slowly return with your guide to Materuni village, where you will experience step-by-step preparations of local coffee and a traditional Chagga lunch.
Finally, in the late afternoon, you will be taken to your hotel or the airport for departure, marking the end of your Tanzania Family Safari.
