Mahale Mountains National Park is nestled near the south of the city of Kigoma. It is an exceptional place where chimpanzees and lions live together.

He will assist you and ensure a good transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay.
The Amariah Hotel is a boutique hotel in Dar es Salaam. It is nestled in the heart of Dar es Salaam city and therefore is an ideal place of rest before or after a long-hour flight. On this Special day, you Will fly from Dar Es Salaam to Kigoma Airport, on the western Circuit of Tanzania. Once you arrive You will meet a driver who Will take you to a hotel for the rest, after which You will have extra time to do optional activities such as a city tour, visiting a historic town or a nearby village, and taking a boat ride on Lake Tanganyika. This small national park is nestled along the western Margin of Tanzania on the eastern shores of Lake Tanganyika where the only means of transport is either by tax boat or Speed Boat. Immerse into the footsteps of Jane Goodall as a guide takes you to spot the groups of chimpanzees climbing trees, playing, or nursing their babies.

At a 2.5-hour drive and a boat ride from Gombe National Park, this national park is a bit larger and habituates almost 900 wild chimpanzees. The National Park is unique from most since there are no designated roads and you will go to view chimps on foot. Trained, Ethical, and Experienced guides will take you on a trek through the mountains to find groups of chimpanzees. Once observed, you Will get plenty of time to view these beauties as a magical experience.
During the afternoon, you will be served lunch at a specially designated picnic site and then go on an afternoon game drive until late evening. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Return from Mahale National to Kigoma
The morning after breakfast, from your hotel, we will visit the waterfalls, which are about a 45-minute walk away. Along the way, your guide will give you a glimpse into the local culture, provide insight into village life, and explain the surrounding flora and fauna. The views here are truly remarkable and breathtaking. You will spot the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world. The pool at the bottom of the waterfall is a welcoming place for a refreshing swim, so don’t forget to wear a swimming costume.
After enjoying the beautiful view and tranquility, you will slowly return with your guide to Materuni village, where you will experience step-by-step preparations of local coffee and a traditional Chagga lunch.
Finally, in the late afternoon, you will be taken to your hotel or the airport for departure, marking the end of your Tanzania Family Safari.
